In November 2016, Sumosan Twiga opened in the affluent neighbourhood of Knightsbridge in London as an expansion of the beloved Sumosan restaurants in partnership with Flavio Briatore’s Twiga brand. This multi-level venue features a stylish restaurant, a spacious bar that specialises in mixology, and a separate lounge for late-night entertainment.

Each floor of Sumosan Twiga has a distinct theme. The restaurant and kitchen have a modern Italian influence, with clean white walls and elegant decor. A Georgian stairwell connects all three floors. The second floor houses the lounge bar, which boasts an extensive drinks menu with an Italian and Japanese fusion vibe. European wines and sakes are available in abundance.

Sumosan Twiga is a popular destination for celebrities and influential people, much like London’s most exclusive nightclubs and members’ clubs. Regular guests include Tamara and Petra Ecclestone. The music policy varies daily and features some of the biggest international DJs and artists. Private hire is also available for the lounge bar and club, making it an excellent location for intimate events such as birthday parties.

The cuisine at Sumosan Twiga is a unique fusion of east and west. Alongside Sumosan’s contemporary Japanese cuisine, the Italian-inspired menu offers a selection of hand-made pasta, meat, seafood, and classic dishes using only the finest ingredients. Sumosan favourites such as the famous salmon rice pizza, truffle hamachi tiradito, and signature lobster salad are featured on the Japanese menu, as well as a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, and maki from the sushi bar.
