Nestled in the trendy Courchevel 1850, Sumosan introduces its first Alpine hub within the Six Senses Residences, combining minimalist Japanese design with subtle touches inspired by its alpine surroundings. Playfully, the iconic Sumosan Sumo figure dons various ski attire throughout the restaurant, injecting a sense of humour into the atmosphere. For a perfect après-ski experience, the bar serves up creative cocktails alongside a delectable selection of sushi and sashimi while the restaurant opens its doors exclusively for dinner.

In this meticulously designed environment, precise lighting is ensured by a Lutron Homeworks system, carefully programmed with various scenes. 

Custom-made speakers were employed for the sound system, ensuring uniform audio coverage in the expansive dining area.

Bringing its signature sushi and contemporary Japanese dishes to Courchevel, Sumosan unveils its first Alpine outpost at Six Senses Residences Courchevel in the heart of Courchevel 1850. Breaking away from the traditional fondue and raclette offerings, the restaurant and bar provide a refreshing alternative.

The menu showcases Sumosan’s iconic favourites, now served alongside the snowy slopes. Indulge in tuna and truffle rolls, Japanese salmon rice pizza, grilled sea bass with citrus ginger sauce, and Furikake-crusted rack of lamb with mustard sauce. The innovative and exclusive dishes include black caviar rice pizza and torched sushi creations such as calamari ink powder-infused squid and unagi with unagi cotton candy sauce. Experience the thrill of table-side torching, proving that the fun extends beyond the ski slopes.
